The Arts Department

The Arts Department consists of Visual Art, Performing Arts, Sport & Health, Pedagogical Leadership. These subjects form an integral part in the personal development of every student by providing them with the opportunity to express and mature creatively, physically and emotionally.

The Arts Department encourages students to expose their creative talents through theatre productions, art exhibitions and other events like the Arts Day.

Art Day 2009

Students interested in sport are given opportunities to compete in school tournaments and participate in sports days. Healthy living is an integral part of what IEG Södermalm aims to develop.

Pedagogical Leadership encourages students to be involved in community outreach projects, to mature as an individual and develop successful life skills. Student awards are also handed out to recognise the positive impact of certain individuals in our school environment.

Drama students in S2B took part in a cross-curricular project with Magasin3, art hall in Stockholm.
