IEGS Goes All Halloween

Friday saw IEGS staff and students celebrate Halloween before the start of the mid-term break.

The day was packed with ghosts and ghouls and rounded off with a disco / party organised by Mr Maier and his band of helpers. Many thanks to all the staff and students who made the evening such a success.

We’ll hopefully be posting more pictures when students are back after the mid-term break.

In the meantime, can anyone guess what Dr Elmfors dressed up as?

    The swine flu? ;)

Exactly! One of the most inspired costumes I’ve ever seen. :=)

Not as “inspired” (read boring) as all the explanations about the viral parts in the costume (H1 spikes, N1 tetramers, opening to reveal the viral RNA…). I am sure nobody liked my costume half as much as I did! I was laughing so hard when I was making it, that I nearly lost a finger to the hot glue gun. You have to admit the swine flu was the scariest thing out there this fall. Viruses rock!
