The PTA is open to all parents who are willing to participate. The School Principal also attends PTA meetings as the school’s representative. PTA meetings take place once a month at the school.

Parental Involvement

IEG strongly welcomes parental involvement. We really would like to encourage as many parents as possible to participate in forging ties between the home and the school. As parents you can still influence the school and its environment. Parents can, for example, influence and support the organisation of school trips and school community activities. Perhaps you run a business and could offer one or two students work-experience. The PTA is an excellent way of talking directly to the school/principal; getting to know other parents; and comparing notes with others about what is happening in the school environment. Please use this opportunity.

Ours is an international school and we have so much to share. In a time when there is often mistrust between communities, we want to create a dialogue between people and foster respect. Please help us create a positive multicultural community, where we can set an example for our students, creating a dialogue between individuals, and a space where we can share our cultures and traditions with each other. A PTA can do so much to make the school an exciting place to be.
