The Humanities Programme is primarily aimed at students who are interested in modern languages the humanities, and social sciences. Compared to the Social Science Programme, you spend more time working on your languages. We currently offer: Chinese, French, German, Italian, Latin and Spanish.

The Humanities Programme Programme seeks to develop the abilities of students to communicate effectively and professionally in a range of languages as well as research, analyze, and communicate within the context of a wider awareness of the social sciences and humanities. The course:

  • acquaints students with the principal concepts and practices in the humanities and social science disciplines
  • helps students develop the language skills of the students so that they can communicate at an appropriate level generally, and specifically, in the vocabulary of a variety of languages
  • equips the students with the capacity to establish relationships between the principal elements and concepts of the humanities and social science disciplines
  • help students integrate the disciplinary knowledge into a coherent framework.
