Academics

Student Success

IEGS has been educating global citizens for more than 20 years. When you choose to study at IEGS, you will join thousands of students whose time at our school was a key step on their path to success.

We are committed to helping students develop to their full potential.

The beginning of each academic year is a commitment to yourself. It is also an opportunity to strive to reach a new level. You will get as much out of your time at IEGS as you put into it. Be active, seek knowledge, find new friends, develop new skills and dare to step outside your comfort zone.

Our qualified teachers are committed to delivering the best education. They have many years of experience in guiding students like you through three years of upper secondary education, ensuring that you are well-prepared for what comes next. Many of our graduates go on to study at top universities in Sweden or abroad.

All of our students study international relations as part of their chosen education programme. Success in our ever-changing world required individuals with a global understanding and respect for other perspectives.

Student Guidance

As a team our teachers and staff strive to make sure that all students have the opportunity to be successful and achieve their learning goals. Whatever this journey may look like and whatever barriers might exist.

Educational Support

Our special education teacher supports students who have a diagnosed disability or special educational need. We also have an academic mentor who helps support students in their learning, providing them with tools to stay on top of their studies.

Our school SYV (guidance counsellor) supports student regarding their current or future studies. It can be anything from "I know what I want to do, but I don't know how" or "I have no idea what I want to do with my life" and our SYV is here to listen and talk about everything in between. If you want to study abroad, our SYV is definitely the right person to see!

School Library

At the IEGS library you can borrow books, read newspapers and journals and search for information on the school computers. The library is situated on the second floor outside the staff corridor. Our opening hours are as follows:

Monday: 10:00-16:00
Tuesday-Thursday: 8:30-16:00
Friday: 8:30-15:00

The House System

At IEGS each programme belongs to one of the four houses, Pavlov, Russell, Curie, and King, and students remain as a part of this house for the duration of their time at IEGS. Each floor in the school is dedicated to a house, promoting house spirit and teamwork. Students can take part in different events, from competitions to clubs and performances. There is also the opportunity for students to take part in leadership roles and lead within the houses.

It's a space where everyone can flourish and grow, creating a strong sense of identity within the school that encourages friendship, support commitment, loyalty and dedication. It is also fun!
