18 year old Helen is one of only two students from the whole of Sweden to have won a national science project, which concentrated around the Ecoli virus. That project was supervised by Dr Neha Pant, Department of Laboratory Medicine at Karolinska Institute.

Out of the many science candidates who entered, Helen’s work impressed the examining body so much they awarded Helen the unique award of six weeks attendance and working at the Center of Excellence in Education in collaboration with MIT and Research Science Institute of Boston, America.
