Welcome Back to School!

I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year's holiday and are ready for a new semester. The hallways may be empty as we begin in 2021, but that learning buzz continues as I see both teachers and students engaged with online lessons as distance learning continues at IEGS.
For many, the new year brings much promise for new opportunities to learn, improve, be inspired, take risks and be open to change. The new year holiday is also a time when many people choose to make a New Year’s resolution. A recent study published in the American scientific journal PLOS ONE, on 9 December 2020
IES: Celebrating 25 years of excellence in education

On Saturday, Internationella Engelska Skolan celebrated its 25th anniversary of providing quality education to students in Sweden. I was honoured to be amongst the 400 plus guests gathered in the Blue and Gold Halls of City Hall in Stockholm to celebrate IES and the success of our founder Ms Barbara Bergström. What an amazing person and entrepreneur. It was a magical evening of festivities. A superb dinner fit for noble laureates. Outstanding entertainment from IES alumni, staff, student choirs and performers. Not to mention our founding mother herself who bedazzled us with a performance in a
Welcome to IEGS!

Whether you are a returning student or a new student to our learning community, I wish to extend a warm welcome to Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet (IEGS) for the academic year 2018/2019. At IEGS we are prepared to help our students on their life-long learning journey, both academically and socially. Our goal is to support our students and equip them with the skills needed so that they can be the best version of themselves, reaching the goals that they are setting. Today, August 15th, we welcome our first year students to IEGS!
Please note, formal classes for the academic year begins on
Summer Time!

Warm, sunny, long days. Hints of summer smells like coconut oil, pineapple, mints and strawberries. The sound of flip flops and gulls. There is no doubt about it, but summer time is here! And with that, the academic year of 2017/18 is over for us here at IEGS. I wish to thank our students and super hero like staff team of teachers and administrators for making this another memorable academic year. Your commitment, dedication and hard work is what makes all the ideas in school, small or large, come to life and be such a success. Thank you once again for making the year a great one!
On Friday
Spring has sprung!

Well, the month of May has brought warmer weather, colourful flowers and chirping birds - all signs of a fabulous spring! At IEGS, the month of May has also contributed to our students increased excitement and nerves as the end of term is drawing near
Welcome Back To School!

We are ready for the year ahead!
School’s out for summer!

As always at IEGS, it has been a very busy term, and well, a busy year overall, with a whole range of events and activities taking place. On June 2nd, we were the first school in Södermalm to congratulate and bid farewell to their third year students. Congratulations to our IEGS class of 2017! This year’s graduation was unique in that we had some of our very first graduating students coming through the IES system; from the first ever grade 4 class in IES Enskede to completion of their national program courses at IEGS! Well done! To all our IEGS graduates, I wish you good luck and strength for
