Study in English
We offer four national programmes with different specialisations as well as the IB programme. We have high academic ambitions for all our students - we see IEGS as a stepping stone to the next stage in their academic development. Our programmes prepare you for university studies in Sweden or abroad. All courses, with the exception of Swedish, Civics A, Law and Modern Languages, are taught in English.
At its heart IEGS is motivated by a mission to create a better world through education, prepare students for the world of today and tomorrow and develop young people who are courageous thinkers, reflective learners and curious about the world in which we live.
International Relations
We strive to nurture international mindedness within our school community, encouraging our students to actively and positively engage in the world in all its complexity. As part of our national programme we teach International Relations. Through this course we aim to empower our students with the knowledge, understanding and analytical skills that allow them to ask probing questions and seek out nuanced answers to key contemporary issues at both local and global levels.
Creativity, Action and Service
As part of the IB, students are provided with enriching experiences that teach them to have a positive impact on the local, national and international community. At IEGS, individuals can take part in many school based clubs, from art, music and chess, to volleyball, football, debate and cheerleading. We encourage students to be advocates and good citizens through different groups like Amnesty, European Youth Parliament and Model UN; we also hold charity fundraising events throughout the year. Students can voice their opinion through School Council, Food Council and the Student Union which is an important part of student life here at IEGS.
